How It Works

Everything you need to know to play Trixer.

1. What is Trixer?

Trixer is an athlete market game based on real triathlon races (Full and Middle Distance). You start with a T$100 wallet, buy athletes on the market, and watch your roster's value rise or fall based on race results.

Your team for any race is your current roster. You can own exactly 5 athletes. The goal is to buy at the right time, sell before an athlete's value drops, and build the best possible roster.

Example:You buy Kristian Blummenfelt for T$35. He wins IRONMAN Texas. His value rises to T$40. If you sell now, you pocket T$40 — a T$5 profit. Or hold for the next race.

2. Wallet (T$)

Every account starts with T$100 in Trix Coins (T$). That's your budget to buy athletes on the market.

  • Buy: the athlete's price is debited from your wallet and they join your roster.
  • Sell: the athlete's current price is credited to your wallet and they leave your roster.
  • Roster limit: you must have exactly 5 athletes to score fully.
Example:Wallet: T$100. You buy 3 athletes: T$35 + T$28 + T$22 = T$85 spent. Wallet drops to T$15. Roster worth T$85. Total net worth stays T$100 — no gain yet.

3. Athlete Market & Prices

In the market you see all athletes with their current price and movement. Base prices are set based on the athlete's level:

Level

#1 – #7

#8 – #15

#16 – #25

Base price

T$35

T$28

T$22

After each race, prices are updated:

  • 1st place: +T$4
  • DNF/DNS: -T$2
  • Position: movement based on actual result
Example:Marta Sánchez was worth T$18. She finished 3rd at IRONMAN Texas → price rose to T$21. If you bought before the race and sold after, you made T$3 profit per athlete.

4. Market Window — When Can I Buy and Sell?

The market closes 24 hours before any race. It reopens only when the results of that race are published.

✓ Open

More than 24h until the next race. Buy and sell freely.

🔒 Closed

Less than 24h to the race or race in progress. No transactions.

↻ Reopening

Automatic after results are published.

⚠ Note: athletes who DNS (do not start) have their price reduced. Follow pre-race news — if your athlete withdrew, you have up to 24h before the race to sell.

Example:IRONMAN South Africa is on Saturday. The market closes Friday at midnight UTC. After results are published, the market reopens and you can rebalance your roster for the next race.

5. Your Team for the Race

You don't need to "pick" a team for each race. Your team is always your current roster of 5 athletes.

  • If an athlete in your roster is in the race, they will score.
  • If the athlete is not in the race, they score 0 points.
  • You can swap roster athletes whenever the market is open.
Example:Your roster has 5 athletes. 3 of them are in IRONMAN Texas. On race day, those 3 score for you. If you want to swap the other 2, you must do it before the market closes.

6. Scoring (Trix Score)

Scoring is calculated by position in the PRO field:

Position

1st place

2nd place

3rd place

4th place

5th place

6th – 10th

11th – 20th

+6 pts for the fastest segment (swim, bike or run) among all PROs.

7. Trix Leagues

Compete with friends on who has the best accumulated roster or in specific races.

  • Ranked by Trix Score — the sum of points from the athletes in your roster in the race.
  • Public and private leagues available.

8. Strategy Tips

  • Buy before races: athletes who perform well rise in price. Buy early, sell after.
  • Watch for DNS: if a favourite withdrew, sell before the market closes.
  • Net worth = wallet + roster: track P&L for each athlete in My Roster.

9. General Notes

  • Trixer is a recreational game — no cash prizes.
  • We are not affiliated with Ironman/WTC or any triathlon organisation.
  • Results are entered manually — there may be a delay after the race.
